When not swimming, Matthew is busy with lots of other interests, including making art. He is 23, loves to eat burgers and fries, and is very enthusiastic in everything he does. Matthew’s an accomplished swimmer, but really loves swimming the backstroke.

Elizabeth H.
Elizabeth, 35, works full time at a law firm helping them with their clerical needs. But no matter how tired she is, she comes to Friday night practices ready to give it her all! She loves swimming and the exercise she gets being a Shark, but especially likes being with her teammates and coaches. Lizzy’s especially fond of doing the breaststroke and is particularly good at it!

Alex is 19 years old and lives with his family in Bellerose. When he’s not swimming, he loves to travel and has been all over the world! His favorite foods are broccoli, cauliflower, and…. burgers! Out of all the swimming strokes, he especially loves doing freestyle the best.

Michael M.
Michael is 28, lives in Freeport. and just loves pizza! If you can believe it, Michael claims his favorite thing about practice is the cold swimming pool! He is one fierce Shark. And even though it’s hard, his favorite stroke to swim is the breaststroke.

Paul N.
Paul, 25, lives in New Hyde Park and just loves being a Shark. Besides the exercise he gets, he says he really likes swimming the breaststroke because he’s really good at it. He builds up quite an appetite being so active, and when he gets the chance to eat his favorite food, he looks forward to having chicken.

James P.
James has the unique distinction of playing TWO roles as a Shark. As one of the original members of the team, he’s an accomplished swimmer. And last season, he switched gears to become the Team Mascot! There’s no one with more spirit than James, but we can’t help but cheer when we see him don the Shark suit at practice! Go James!!
