taken directly from the Special Olympics creed:
“Let me win,
But if I cannot win,
Let me be brave in the attempt.”
To the athletes, those aren’t just words. They are brave every day of their lives: throughout their daily activities and challenges and in each encounter they have.
It’s a motto everyone can stand behind, not just our special athletes. Their courage inspires and teaches all of us how to be brave, too.
